Ford Roadster Project
Bud at Lakeman Chassis took the car from Idaho and created the roadster as it is today. Bud installed a TCI front end with rack and pinion steering and electric ABS 4-wheel disc brakes with a Currie 9” rear end. The GM preformance aluminum head ZZ4 was fitted with a complete Jim Englese 4 Webber downdraft carb setup, MDS ignition, Dougs Headers, and many billet parts. It was backed with a 2004R Chevy transmission. Bud built a complete exhaust system and a 20 gal. gas tank. The original dash was used with original gauges and wood grain application.
Pete at Westminster Upholstery created the complete interior from Porsche leather, including the rumble seat. Patrick Osburn provided the custom sound system. Chuck at Bedard Automotive provided technical assistance and advice.
Special thanks to my friend Kim Dedic who did a fantastic job with the pin stripping on the car and the Wheel Smith wire rims. They don’t make them like Kim anymore. Also, thanks to Doc (Bruce Glen) and Bubbles (Bill Dickenson) for inspiration and long-lasting friendship. Thanks and LOVE to my wife, Gay, for putting up with my cars.
